While the City of Loveland and Symmes Township Trustees maintain the ultimate financial control over levied funds, the Loveland-Symmes Fire Dept., Inc. is governed by a six member board. Three of these members are appointed by the City and Township. A fourth member is elected by the firefighters from their honorary membership. The fifth and sixth members are the Fire Chief and the Assistant Fire Chief. 

This board meets bi-monthly to address the day to day operations of the corporation. The board approves budgets that are presented to the respective governments for their final approval. The Fire Board along with the City and Township officials work hand and hand to ensure the quality of service while maintaining fiscal responsibility to our residents.
