Hot Day For A Fire! - Posted July 3, 2006

After high heat and humidity Monday, forecasters are predicting temperatures in the upper 80s and storms for the July Fourth holiday today.

Monday's high of 93 degrees made fighting a house fire at Liberty Hill Court in SymmesTownship particularly challenging.

One firefighter, whose name was not released, was climbing a ladder over a fence and fell, fracturing his ankle.

He was treated at Bethesda North Hospital and released.

The cause of the fire is being investigated. Estimated damage is $100,000.
