Auto Accident Loveland Avenue - Posted July 8, 2006

Loveland Symmes Fire Department was dispatched at 05:41 for a reported auto accident on West Loveland Avenue. Soon after the initial dispatch NECC reported that police officers were on scene reporting “entrapment”. Medic 62, Medic 60, Engine 63, Rescue 62 and Battalion 1 under the command of Captain Mike Books responded and upon arrival found a single vehicle accident, mini van VS tree with one subject trapped in the vehicle. Paramedics from Medic 62 and Engine 63 went to work on treating the patient while Rescue 62’s crew used the “Jaws of Life” to cut and remove the side doors of the vehicle. The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to BethesdaNorth Hospital as a “Trauma”. All units were back available at 07:05.
